Colour Management Symposium - user knowledge without product placements

After 4 success events Fogra is announcing the fifth colour management symposium to be held on February 18th and 19th 2016 in Munich. This time only power users will talk about current challenges and trends in the area of colour communication. In light of the ISO 12647-2:2013 revision one focus is how to migrate from FOGRA39- to FOGRA51 based workflows. A lawyer will talk about colour expectations and requirements for print service providers when printing trademarked CI colours of big players. In addition practitioners  will present  how customer expectations can be met in the area of digital wall paper, interior decoration and "matching offset or flexo”.

The known colour expert and nature and science author Prof. Karl Gegenfurtner will give a keynote during the social event about colour in the eye and the brain. Though explaining if "#TheDress" is blue or white.

FOGRA39 & FOGRA51: Manage the transition by means of PSO and PSD

What does it mean for all in the process chain, when switching the print production to comply with the latest version of the printing standard ISO 12647-2:2013. What does it mean besides utilizing the updated profiles of the ECI. Is it really necessary to change? What are the advantages in daily production? That are some of the questions raised at publisher, agencies, repro houses and printing houses alike.The answer to these questions, along with profound additional information concerning this topic, will be given. We invited industry experts as well as early adopters for the session FOGRA39 & FOGRA51 - Manage the transition by means of PSO and PSD that will be held on February 18 at 11am. The moderation is done by Peter Kleinheider, CEO of the solutions integrator calibrate consulting GmbH and inpetto:zipcon, as well as active member of ECI, PDFX-ready and GWG.

Spot and MultiColor Workflows - Challenges for Commercial, Industrial and Packaging Applications

The area of multicolor and the professional handling of spot colors has a growing demand in the job and packaging printing. Terms like Expanded Gamut Printing, Fixed Color Palette, and Extended Color Process Printing are used everywhere. Take the opportunity and learn during this interesting session about the opportunities and challenges when implementing a multicolor workflow. See how spot colors may be defined independent from manufacturers and what kind of savings are possible by working in production with more than four process colors.
