Digital control aids in the workflow
Fogra control aids and measuring devices form the basis for effective quality control in repro, printing and finishing. Some of the control aids, for example the control strips, are part of a comprehensive quality assurance system. If required, appropriate Fogra seminars explain how to use these control aids correctly.

Ugra/Fogra Media Wedge CMYK V3.0
The Ugra/Fogra Media Wedge CMYK is recognised globally as the control medium for the digital contract proof and has been used worldwide in its different versions since 1997.
In accordance to Media Standard Print any proof that is designated as a contract proof must contain an Ugra/Fogra Media Wedge CMYK V2 or V3. Its colour values must correspond to the reference values of the printing conditions, as specified in the standardization series ISO 12647, and the tolerances for the proofing process for digital data, as specified in ISO 12647-7.

The Media Wedge is essential for the professionally created contract proof and hence integrated into many proofing systems and RIPs as a licensed component. For the application of the Media Wedge in Epson printers a special package XE (extra Epson) was developed.
